Island of Jersey Acknowledged as Responsible Off-Shore Domicile
A report recently published by MONEYVAL (the Council of Europe’s permanent monitoring body) asserts that the British Channel Island of Jersey excels at upholding international standards combatting money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism. The report assessed Jersey against international standards and found that Jersey’s level of risk understanding, and national cooperation and coordination is a standout among most other jurisdictions worldwide. It also acknowledged Jersey for the range of mitigating measures in place to reduce risk, providing accuracy and transparency.
