Asset managers are under increasing pressure to reduce costs while providing top-tier service to remain competitive. Technology is a common method of achieving these goals, particularly given the pace of technology and the surge of artificial intelligence (AI). One of the dangers of an asset management firm trying to develop their own technologies and platforms is that each firm is deploying internal resources to achieve the same goal when those resources would be better utilized focusing on core strategic activities.
