Outsourcing the Mailroom for Faster Processing and Enhanced Efficiency
Despite many businesses making great strides in the effort to go paperless, the reality of paper mail shows no signs of disappearing entirely—though volume is decreasing. This presents a challenge for businesses, as the decrease in volume does not translate into decreased needs for infrastructure, staff and other costs. Businesses that choose to keep their mail services in-house must pay the bill for maintaining the machinery, software, staffing and secure locations required to process mail, regardless of volume. Trying to scale back mail services in accordance with decreasing volume can lead to delays and an inability to meet sudden demands, such as sending out a notification solicitation.
