As the retirement income industry evolves, collaboration across multiple stakeholders is essential for success as we outlined in The Power of Collaboration in Retirement Income Solutions. Industry organizations also play a critical role in shaping its future. These industry groups not only foster collaboration but also provide valuable research and resources to guide the development and adoption of retirement income solutions.
Active participation in industry organizations can significantly influence retirement income advancements. These organizations provide platforms for discussion, innovation and the sharing of best practices. Some organizations we’re affiliated with include Broadridge Retirement Income Consortium, DCIIA Retirement Income Committee, IRIC and the SPARK Institute Retirement Income Committee, and we lead SS&C’s Retirement Income Recordkeeper Roundtable. SS&C’s Retirement Income Recordkeeper Roundtable is a critical forum for recordkeepers to discuss challenges, solutions and opportunities in the retirement income space. These gatherings facilitate the exchange of ideas and promote industry-wide advancements.
One of the most recent contributions to the field comes from DCIIA’s Retirement Research Center. Their latest study, "Retirement Income Solutions: Recordkeeper Study," delves into the role of technology and middleware in enhancing recordkeeper retirement income connectivity. SS&C's contribution to this study highlights the importance of technological integration in improving the effectiveness of retirement income solutions. SS&C recently participated in a panel along with other industry experts on the DCIIA “Retirement Income Solutions: Recordkeeper Study Results” webinar. The panel explored the study’s research and findings in detail. The webinar recording, available to DCIIA members, offers valuable insights into the recordkeeper survey results.
As we look ahead, the importance of collaboration among industry stakeholders will only increase. The integration of technology, ongoing research and active involvement in industry groups will drive the future of retirement income solutions. By engaging with these organizations and staying informed about the latest developments, you can help shape a more effective and inclusive retirement income landscape.
Industry organizations and research efforts are pivotal in advancing retirement income solutions. By participating in these initiatives and staying updated on recent findings, stakeholders can contribute to a more dynamic and effective retirement income ecosystem.
